Through all of his struggles earlier in life, Wesley still kept his hand to the plow and never gave up on himself. Once Wesley arrived to Collinwood High School, he began excelling in the classroom. While in high school, Wesley also realized that he had a gift to play basketball. As a result of him achieving in the classroom and on the basketball court, Wesley received a full athletic scholarship to Robert Morris University. Wesley graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Science Administration.
Wesley not only left Robert Morris University with a degree, but was also named to the schools Dean’s List and most valuable player for his basketball conference.

Following college he went on to play professional basketball throughout the world for 12 years. Wesley’s professional basketball experience extends to the NBA, Europe and South America. All though he is no longer playing professional basketball, Wesley still enjoys exercising to stay in shape. Mr. Fluellen is now utilizing all of his time for his company, Fundamentals First Basketball Academy to cultivate youth, through academic programs, motivational speaking engagements, basketball skill sessions, clinics, college/professional basketball recruitment and sports camps.
Wesley’s strong desire to help young people is what motivates him to be the right example for others within the community to follow. The CEO and Founder of FFBA is making a major difference in the world by sharing his wisdom, knowledge and heart with youth and basketball players of every level within various communities around the world. In the past 10 years Wesley’s company has placed 295 student athletes into prep school’s and college’s on some form of scholarship.
